Anamaría Castiblanco

Screenwriter and Content Director specializing in children’s audiences and passionate about animation. She holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from the National University of Colombia, an M.A. in Project Development from ESCAC (Barcelona), and completed Documentary Filmmaking studies at EICTV (Cuba). She is a co-founder of Estudio Marañacos and the creator of the animated series Juani & Gatón (39 episodes), The MiniSonic Band, Knotty-Anna, and Animal Heart, which received an Honorable Mention at Ideatoon Pixelatl in Mexico.

Most recently, she directed the animated series A River of Questions for Canal Capital, a project focused on the prevention of child sexual abuse. She was the lead writer of Disgustingly Rich (Asquerosamente Rico), a series that won the Prix Jeunesse and ComKids awards and was nominated for the International Emmy Kids Awards. She was also the creator and head writer of the children’s music channel Tukutoon, winner of the India Catalina Award and currently reaching more than 815,000 subscribers.

As a script consultant, she has supported the development of the animated series Dapinty, Four Kingdoms, SoliFlores, and Sonic Crystal, as well as the feature film projects Magha and Jukumary. In addition, she has served as a script advisor for Colombia’s Film Development Fund (FDC), supporting award-winning projects in the categories of Best Animated Short Film and Best Children’s Short Film. She also brings six years of experience leading content strategies for major children’s YouTube channels, including Maguaré, Toy Cantando, and Tukutoon.

Julián Manrique

 Colombian animation director, creator, and art director specializing in children’s content. With more than 15 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, he has led the development, production, and direction of original projects for television, digital platforms, and international markets. He is the founder of Estudio Marañacos, where he has created and directed series such as Juani & Gatón, The MiniSonic Band, Animal Heart, Knotty-Anna, and My Mom is a Jaguar. He has also worked as an animation supervisor on international productions, including content for Moonbug Entertainment’s Little Angel YouTube channel, coordinating production teams across Latin America and Asia.


His work has received recognition both nationally and internationally. He has been awarded multiple grants and public funds for the development and production of animated content, including Colombia’s Abre Cámara program and the National Stimulus Program of the Ministry of Culture. His projects have been selected for industry events and festivals such as the Bogotá Audiovisual Market, Chilemonos, Pixelatl, and ComKids. In 2024, Animal Heart received an Honorable Mention at Ideatoon Pixelatl, and in 2026 he was awarded the Lápiz de Acero for his creative and directorial contributions to animation and visual storytelling. He is currently developing new original IPs focused on childhood, identity, diversity, and emotional well-being, with the goal of expanding their reach through international co-productions and distribution.
